Savage Arms told me they are being built in the USA, that is a huge plus, instead of Turkey. Savage could not tell me if it will have fixed chokes or screw-in, the weight for a 20 gauge and could not give me a production/release date. Lower grade and good price point compared to CSMC offerings. I think they will sell.

What I like about the "New Fox" over the RBL is that the Fox rib is solid raised and with matting, I hope. The brand new RBL 28 gauge I had for a brief ownership (3 days) before I sold it, had a swamped & unmatted rib. A big turn off for me and a cost cutter for CSMC.

Its not a bad looking gun. Definitely worth checking into, and at that price, one of these days I still may be able to own one, unlike Super Fox's

Looks like an RBL with the receiver profiled to look more Fox-like.

Interesting looks like a RBL to me also and the video looks like it was shot at CSMC. Never thought it would happen!

Looks more like a Sterlingworth with added engraving or an early A grade, rather than a RBL receiver to me. With it's raised side panels on the receiver, zig-zag border engraving, pins through the receiver and a squared back. I am curious to know what engraving is on the trigger plate.

Get out an RBL and look at it with a glass. Those pins are there, dressed smooth, engraved over, and color case hardened along with the receiver.

I see this pretender only had FOX on the sides of the receiver, and we know "none genuine without the full name Ansley H. Fox."

It's definitely not the Fox design. They mention that in the unveiling video. No rotary bolt or even a rib extension. It uses underlugs. It's an Anson and Deeley boxlock. However, it should still come.e out to be a nice new double gun, just not a Fox design.
