What year did these guns start being made in Utica Ny ?
I just acquired a 16ga. sterly with serial #367 and has Utica on the barrels.

Savage Arms purchased the A.H. Fox Company in November of 1929. I believe it was in early months of 1930, when Utica, NY production started. 367xxx would be 1930.

Ok thanks ! That explains why everything about the gun resembles my 1926 sterly 12 gauge. I'll post some pics after the holidays. The gun needs some work but I've been looking for a project gun and the price was right
