Sunshine on a rainy day

Post by Silvers »

I was out turkey hunting first thing this morning and came home soaked. One gobbler answered but just wouldn't come in to check out mama.

Anyway, I got an email later with some pics of a 32" CE I'm getting restocked. Stock is turkish and although I picked the blank and saw it later, rough shaped, here's her first showing, finish sanded with initial coat of sealing oil. I'm particular about grain being parallel through the wrist so I guess I'll be happy. Like I said it was a ray of sunshine on a gloomy day. Silvers

Very nice, Frank!

I hope an old PA Mountainman like yourself is gonna shy away from those ribbons and flowers in the checkering :P

I love that bold longitudinal figure for a serious shooter. I chose something similar for my own 32" (with a manly point pattern of course). You might have a seen a pic already in cyberspace, but I don't think I've posted one of Anna on this board...

Mike, thanks for sharing the pic of Anna. I remember seeing her before somewhere, was it on the 16 gauge forum? The checkering on this Fox will be regular C grade all the way, no ribbons, scrolls, or anything bizarre. Frank

How will you choke it? Is it intended for clay sports? A special niche, or just another link in your fine chain of armor?
