Forearm lever opening while shooting
I've tried to search this site thoroughly but haven't found a fix for my problem. I have a Fox A grade from 1920 that is nice and tight and on face. The only problem I have with it, and this is more of an annoyance, is the forearm lever opening slightly on recoil. It looks like there is a spring in there that keeps tension on the lever. Can this be replaced or tweaked? Is this a bigger problem than I'm assuming?

Yes the flat forend spring can be replaced but it may or may not solve the problem. Bobby

A new spring may work in correcting the problem.
Also, look very closely at your forend loop on the barrels. Has it started to pull looseat all? Ring the barrels and see if they sound funny at all.

Barrels ring fine and the forearm loop in fine. I'l order the spring and see if that does the trick. The back screw was a little loose so I tightened it just a tiny bit.
Thanks

Ordered the Deeley latch spring from ahfoxparts.com. Jason was very helpful and I got the part fast. The latch is good as new now and very tight.

Now that you've fixed it, how about selling it to one of us "needy" members?
