Re: Hausmann pictures
Darryl, long strange story that started the whole stoat craze. All began with making "Nutria and Pine" gun cases instead of oak and leather. Then it morphed into "Woodchuck and Yellow Pine". Then we began catching stoat in the trapline and using them for case lining and for coats and gloves. So, it became an inside joke with some of us. Heck, I even wrote a poem, "Ode to a Stoat"!! So, RESPECT THE STOAT!!

Re: Hausmann pictures
Now I know the rest of the story. I guess some Stoat, cold weather shooting gloves, could just be the ticket for these damn cold winters here in the NE/Mid Atlantic. Or better yet, a Stoat skin cap. The possibilities are endless Mike. You might not need a day job after all.

Just for fun, here's a new target for the "Stopping Rifle" event for 2016. Double guns, stoats and the new "Jurassic Park", doesn't get any better!!

Re: Hausmann pictures
Can you imagine??? If I could post a video here I have the perfect one for this post. Our newest member Rich Anderson, aka COB, shooting a H&H .500 black powder express rifle on the lower part of Hausmann's on Sat. after the shoot had ended. What a blast that was. Go back to your lab and clone one of your Tyranostoats Dr. Mike. Let 'em loose 'cause Rich and I got the gun for it.

Jim, we're having some good fun here so if you don't want to read it, please don't follow the thread. Finally some levity being posted on this board and guys are responding. I'll discuss this with the head stoat.

Re: Hausmann pictures
My gang shot at Rock Mountain today and I'm happy to report that Mike's new "Sneaky Stoat station" at #11 was well received by the guys. It was a 4 stoat presentation, two pairs of the beady eyed devils running on report and they were really moving. Five shooters shot 20 shots total and we only bagged 10 of the slinky critters. Much harder than rabbits. Note that Mike's menu card shows that waiting out a stoat until it stops (rolling) is a loss = no pot shooting at sitters!
