I shot the qualifier under the Parker banner with my little GHE-20 28: light mod and full. This was my first event and was under the impression Hausemanns was laid out for the grouse hunter. Boy was I wrong! The 12gauge course was in-fact a long range course for the most part with good shooters shaking their heads in disbelief. I only scratched down 29 targets of the 50 possible and came up about 7 targets short of making team Parker. I did not bring a 12ga gun so it was for the best I did not make the cut. The bo-woop station is better suited for 16th century 10lb cannon loaded with grape shot or a state of the art computer driven sniper rifle!......(-: The small gauge course was way fun and I shot my little CSMC Fox DE-28 with open chokes. On that course, a grouse hunters course that I really liked I was able to get 29 and 30 of the 50 possible. If only my grouse gunning was that good! The three days of shooting, camping and looking at all the fine SXS guns was a blast. I really enjoyed myself and have put this on the calendar for 2016.....and yes I will bring a 12gauge....even if I have to buy one! Thanks all... Kenny Graft SXS Ohio.................(-:
Kenny, I agree entirely. I shot the bg bore course with my Fox pin gun (12) and shot in the 20's. Shot with a bunch of very good shots, and even they could barely scratch down a single target on some stations. The small bore course was a hoot, great fun and could consistantly break in mid 30's. Next year I wont even bother to bring a 12.
It was good to meet you and camp out next to you--next year lets shoot that smallbore course together.

May every spring from now until eternity throb with the drum roll of your wings(RogerLatham)
I only uncased my 20 gauge and hit the small bore course and it was a blast. Even some of those targets (last station for sure) were killers, but it really was like shooting grouse for the most part and I did fairly well. I will continue to shoot that course whenever I come back because it really fits with what I might encounter in the woods if of course the grouse had a jetpack installed.
Craig it was great seeing you and the "other Fox guys" and sharing adult beverages and cigars. Next year I'll have a Fox 12ga for sure.
I didn't bring a 12 but in retrospect I wish I had brought the Parker live bird gun as it would have been fun to shoot the Bo Whoop targets with it.
I shot the large bore course with a 16ga hammer gun and other than the second station and the true pair on the second to last station didn't mind it. The small bore course was fun and once again I wish I had brought the 28ga skeet gun but you can only bring so many and I didn't shoot two of the ones I brought. I shot a Boss 20ga hammer gun on the course and managed to hit 40, that gun is just a dream come true. Next year a Fox 16ga will make it's debut.
Rich: It was great spending time with you, Eric and Mike---some great evenings at the Rosemont. We are already looking forward to the Southern and plan to spend more time shooting at Drakes. Craig
Hey Tool Man, the shocking dirt is in!!!! It has been brought to my attention that 2 of the 5 Parker shooters were actually shooting Philly Fox "Pin Guns"!!!! No wonder the score was so close!!!
Team Stoat members would be (L to R) Silvers Stoat, Sassy Stoat, Surly Stoat, Stupendous Stoat and Salubrious Stoat. No finer bunch of champs has ever been assembled!!
Me thinks Dave is correct..... someone has too much time on their hands. Maybe he should get a day job. As far as stoat squad is concerned, I'm sure you know that a stoat is also known as a short-tailed weasel. When in the winter months, their coats turn white and they are called Ermine. Nothing personal boys but there ain't nuttin luxurious about their coats in that picture.
As far as a couple of Parker guys shooting pin guns, I know you were'nt referring to me. The boys from Philly never saw fit to put the hammers on the outside. What a shame.
Would that qualify as a Fox? You really amaze me Dave, not only for your instant recall and retrieval, but for your marathon driving skills. Great seeing you, glad you made it to and fro.
