My father bought this gun at an estate sale several years ago. The receiver was polished to a bright finish and the stock appears to have been refinished. I don't know much more about this gun. According to Mr. Callahan, it was shipped from the Fox plant in Philadelphia in March 1918. It is a 12 ga., 28" barrels, choked modified (r) and full (l). I am just learning about shooting this gun and the forums here are a big help. This is a beautiful gun and it is great to take to the field. So light and handy, much nicer than the old 870!
I like the look of the polished receiver. I just picked up my first sterlingworth and it has about 20% case colour left, now Im thinking about making it look like yours instead of new case colouring. Beautiful gun.
