I've been wanting a 16ga Fox and couldn't pass on this one. Seems to be in excellent original shape. I need to get it cleaned and maybe some work to get trigger pulls in the right range, but otherwise, very very happy. I can't see any evidence that it's been apart or altered. 28" barrels. Very full and mod.
Very nice, are you going to hunt it? I've owned my Stery 16 maybe 16 yrs. now. Ejectors, 28" barrels IC and Mod. Refinishing the stock myself. I didn't like the job the guy did on mine after 10 yrs. of looking at it. Got some great tips from "bbman" a fellow member. I'll post pics when it's finished, I only wished it had the colors yours does! Maybe we'll see you out hunting them quail in the field some day!
Yep, that's a keeper. I'd call that a excellent condition shooter. Not quite collector grade, but nicer then 85% of what one encounters these days. The ultimate grouse gun I might add.
Nice find, I have a savage fox 16 made a year earlier. This could be its twin. Unfortunately I had the stock refinished years ago when it was the thing to do.
