savage receivers

Post by tony williamson »

I have often wondered, what is the visable line between the upper and lower sections of the receiver on utica guns? Is this from the method of polishing? Its only on utica's, i know other people besides me have wondered about this....

It may be more than just the fact that it is Utica only, may well be that it is a distinctive feature of one particular action polisher. It wouldn't be the first time that a feature could be traced to one particular employee.

Yep thats it. All of my uticas have it. I guess it can be looked at as a tale tale sign of originality. I think its kinda cool looking.
