Cost of new CSMC FOX DE GRADE 20 BORE

Post by kdross »

I have located a new unfired CSMC AH Fox DE Grade 20 bore gun. What does this gun cost new and what is it worth "used" but unfired? Any suggestions as to what I should look for?

Also, can Tony swap out a single trigger for a double trigger?

Thanks.

Why ask us? Why not call CSMC and ask them? I have a hunch they are so busy with new guns they are producing they would not be much interested in doing retro work on a second hand gun.

A CE-Grade 20-gauge with upgrade wood and double triggers is $14,500 from Tony's site --

Here's the link to Galazans. You can price out what a new DE would cost if you ordered one. From what I've observed the used CSMC Foxes do not hold their new value. For me to guess on the price of a NIB CSMC DE would just be speculation on my part. Look at Tonys price list and add up what it would cost to order the gun your interested in, then make up your mind if it's a good deal or not.

As for the trigger conversion the only way to find out is to call Galazans and ask them direct.

Here is the gun I have located on GunAmerica. It is new and unfired. Just wondering if this was a good deal. I would jump on this gun but I do not like single trigger guns. How much effort and money is required to change the trigger from single to double?

The way I add-up this gun on Galazans current posted price list, it would be $23,500.00 if you ordered it today, assuming it has the exhibition wood upgrade.

So the price being asked is a savings of $6000.00 and you don't have to wait for it being built. On the other hand you have to settle for it the way it is and not the way a you might want to order it. Only you can decide if this is a good deal or not! I will say that this gun has been listed for a couple of months now and had no takers so far. This dealer is known as one of the high end dealers and list's his inventory accordingly.

The trigger question is one that only Galazans can answer with a simple phone call. They made the gun and I doubt that original Fox parts will fit for a conversion. I know of no one on the internet that can quote Tony Galazans gunsmithing service price list. Keep in mind the single trigger is an $1800.00 option on the current price list.

Good luck and let us know what you find out!
