Interesting Stamps

Post by Oregon16 »

Picked up a 16 gauge sterlingworth, SN 350648. I believe this makes it one of the early SWs, have to get a factory letter to know for sure. Couple of interesting stamps I thought I'd share with the forum.

The watertable has two interesting stamps "Aug 16, 1904 - Aug 1 1905" and "Oct 17, 1905 - Jan 16, 1906"

The barrel flats also have a barely discernable oval stamp that have some word in the top and 'proof' in the bottom.

Has anyone come across these type of markings?
Ansley out hunting.
