Very nice pin Fox, nice shape, those are tough to find. An older gentleman down the street near me has a 12 gauge Fox pin gun, it is in good shape, but not a nice as yours, serial #57,4XX, with what appear to be 0 weight HV duty 30" barrels, I have good intentions to purchase the gun but have been unable to strike a deal. Your partner seems like he's enjoying the day out shooting.

Through one of our members, I got a photocopy of the 1910, The Sterlingworth Co. catalogue. In it they offer the gun in two versions.

Sterlingworth "Standard" Gun -- 12-gauge only; 30" barrels only; weight, 7 1/2 to 7 3/4 lbs. only; both barrels full choke; drop 2 3/4"; length of stock 14"; stock of American walnut with full pistol grip. Patent snap forend; hard rubber butt plate; Sterlingworth Fluid Compressed Steel Barrels. Net Price................$25.00

Sterlingworth "Field" Gun -- Same as Sterlingworth "Standard" except 28" barrel; right barrel modified, left barrel full choke; weight 7 lbs.; drop 2 7/8". Net Price................$25.00

By the 1911 A.H. Fox Gun Co. "Campfire" catalogue gun was the A.H. Fox Sterlingworth and the 26-inch barrel "Brush" was being offered --

#574xx would be well into the A.H. Fox Gun Co. Sterlingworth (Model 1911) era. The highest serial number recorded with The Sterlingworth Co. on the side of the receiver is 53824, but it is FOX-PROOF marked and the forearm is stamped Model 1911.

I should be able to get some pictures of the gun serial #574XX, it is definitely a slotted 12 gauge Fox Sterlingworth pin type gun I have a couple of pictures on my phone of the side of the receiver and trigger guard tang, but none of the barrels, or water table, etc. I will post them if he still has the gun and agrees to it.
