Get well and do what the Docs say. Follow their guidance. between myself and too many others that haven't followed their doctors orders; it usually makes things worse if you don't. so do what needs to be done. AIRBORNE!

Thanks to all the concerned Fox collectors here on this site!
David: You are a tough ol bird and I know that you're going to come out of this in good shape. Like Brian said, do what the Docs tell you to do and keep The Lord in your heart. Please let me know if there is anthing that I can do.

I'm doing great, I'm walking and getting around the hospital pretty good, the care here at Waltereed has been awesome, I hope to be out of here Monday or Tuesday, the way things are going I will be at the Southern! I will have a really nasty scar, I was cut from right butt cheek to my knee, I think I'm going to have to come up with a better story for the scar on my leg, cancer is boring, so I think a shark bite will be a better story to tell!

David: Remember Captain Quint's (Robert Shaw) story in JAWS? Something along those lines would be a lot more interesting. I'm glad that you're doing great. I'll see you at The Southern.

The pathology report came back, I'm cancer free now, so all I have to do is heal up for now. In 6 weeks I return to Waltereed for my second surgery, they have to plaice the titanium rod a long my femur. I should be released from the hospital today or tomorrow. Thanks to everyone that was pulling for me, you really know who your friends are during rough times.

David,

Sorry for the tardy reply. That's what you get when you don't read far enough down into these threads!! The AHFCA BOD's wish you a speedy recovery and more importantly, a cancer-free prognosis for the rest of your very, very long life! Several of us will be manning the Fox booth at The Southern. We hope to see you there!----SC
On the whole....I'd rather be in Philadelphia....

Thank you! I'm doing a lot better, just dealing with the pain right now and learning how to walk without my thigh muscles that were removed, but the prognosis is good! I should be at the Southern to see everyone. Hope to be back in Japan and back to work by August!

David,
If my wife wasn't going to go to the Southern, we could rescue the "Vette from mothballs and ride in style ! But, I don't know if you and it could stand to travel with a trunkful of Elsies.

The Vette does need to be pulled out, been in the warehouse now for a year! I'm getting around a little better now, have not tried to drive yet, I have a brace on my leg, but maybe this weekend. Just bored as hell not working.

David: Do get that Corvette out of mothballs as soon as you're able. That wind in your hair will make you feel a whole lot better (and also the girls who will be admiring your ride) See you at the Southern. :D

David: I looked for you today but couldn't find you. I wanted my son, Billy, to meet you. Maybe we can get together at the Fall SxS.
