I recently acquired an AH Fox 12GA 30" with separated extractors to accommodate ejectors but with an extractor fore end. As you can see from the attached photo, the receiver, barrel and fore end serial numbers match. Could this be something as simple as separated extractors being added aftermarket, or could Fox have set up the gun this way? Is there any technical justification for this configuration?

Re: Fox A grade with split ejectors but extractor fore end
Judging from that one pic of the parts - I see some things that hint your Fox might have a retrofitted ejector barrel from another gun. If so, some mods would have been necessary to fit and make it functional. I doubt the factory would have done that. Please try to post some good supermacro pics of the barrel flats, water table, front end view of the frame knuckle, and serial number area on the forend iron. Also, let us know if there's a proof mark on the barrel flats and if so, what it is. Second, what is the lift (stroke) of the ejectors when the assembled gun is fully opened? Lift height can be measured with a small fractional ruler held against the side of one ejector face. Lastly, what is the serial number stamped underneath each ejector face? You'll have to remove the ejectors to check the numbers. Silvers

The right ejector has a different serial number than the rest of the gun. I'm sure they were installed after manufacture, although why I can't imagine.
