Today I shot a charity team event at our local club, Bay Gall Sporting Clays, in Rocky Ford, GA., with my 9+ lb. MX-8. Our team won with a 353. I had been reading some posts about Super Foxes last night on here, and decided to take mine and shoot the 5-stand after we shot the course. There were 306 youngsters there today, competing in the district 4-H competition, and some were over on the 5-stand when we got finished with the sporting course. I pulled out the big Fox and the kids really took notice of it. Five of us shot together and I finished with a 22/25. Not too bad considering the HE is choked .046 right and .047 left. I didn't worry about using the "more open barrel" on the closer ones

, and shot them all right/left. The kids really enjoyed watching it, and I have to admit I had a pretty good time, too. The 6 bird is a springing teal which comes from a trap that is at least 60 yards from the shed, and goes up a good 90-100 feet before looping ever so slightly left to fall. I broke it every time. One of my misses was due to forgetting to push the automatic safety off

. I got it off in time to break one, but it was a true pair and I missed the other due to the delay.
The big Fox weighs 9# 7, so it really feels pretty good after shooting the heavy MX-8. Think I'll load me up some spreaders and start using it a little more during the "off season".
All my best, Stan
