Wow....what a beautiful picture of a memory that will no doubt last a lifetime!! (Only thing missing was your Fox.)
God I do love GSP's, especially her markings; ticked/w solid liver head!! Did she hail from upper mid-west breeding...say Michigan or Wisconsin?? Seems a lot of the hardcore German lines are still found up in those parts.
I had second pick on a Doc Reiser, Shooting Star male back in the early 90's but had to cancel due to a promotion at work that had me travelling 4 days a week. God....I do regret that decision!!! Beautiful dog.....best of luck with her and thanks for sharing!!-----TOOLMAN
On the whole....I'd rather be in Philadelphia....

Pup is from Honey Run Kennels here in PA. Cindy Stahle is known for breeding old line, traditional GSPs. http://www.honeyrunshorthairs.com/ My pup pointed her first Grouse at seven months, and I could not be happier with her, just wish this had not been such a down year for bird numbers, as at her age, she needs all the bird contact she can get.

The Dan Rossiter stocked SW 16 has become my got to grouse gun. Does the job, if I do mine.

Beauty of a dog & nice bird but the owner looks a little grizzled! Just joking  With my long white beard I get the Santa Claus stare from kids in July! Nice wood on that SW 16 too! I'm jealous! Keep up the good work.

Best times & best guns,

Nice pics, Jay! Looks like the briers gothca on the cheek. I really like that Dan-stocked 16SW, what a beaut. Love the GSP as well. For some of us the hunt is a three part equation that just isn't balanced without a four legged friend along.Congrats to all!

I saw the 16 when it was under construction. I was so impressed, I threw a 32"pigeon gun in the door at Dan''s and it came out "outstanding".
