Here's a short summary of our shooting events & results at this year's Vintage Cup

2012 Ansley H Fox Championship

Ansley H Fox Champion: Chuck DeVinne with a score of 49 ex 50, using a 12 gauge 26" AE Fox
FE Grade Winner: Jim Kline with a score of 44, using a 12 gauge 32" Sterlingworth
DE Grade Winner: Frank Srebro also with a score of 44, using a 12 gauge 32" AE Fox

Jim and Frank both shot the same score (44 ex 50) and the 2nd/3rd places were decided by Addieville staff using Winscore software and tie breaker stations

Special note is also made that Chuck was High Over All in the American Classics. This is (I believe) the first time the American Classics HOA was won using an A H Fox gun. There were 74 entrants in the American Classics event.


2012 Fox-Parker Challenge

Team Fox carried the day with a score of 219 ex 250 targets, versus 201 for Team Parker. A total of 46 shooters participated in the Fox-Parker Challenge concurrent with the American Classics event. This included 19 Fox shooters and 27 Parker shooters.

Team Fox: Chuck DeVinne 49, Jim Kline 44, Frank Srebro 44, Bill Sanford 42 and Paul Plunkett 40

Team Parker: Carl Harlan 47, Dave Fjelline 40, Larry Frey 40, George Purtill 37 and Raymond Roy 37

The A H Fox Collectors Board of Directors wish to sincerely thank all our members and our Parker colleagues who participated in this exciting first-time concurrent. It's always nice to shoot with friends while using both fine examples of American gunmaking at its best! The Parker Association hosted a very nice reception afterwards at their booth, and we thank our friends for their largesse and warmth.

I'm sure additional comments and pictures will be shared on both sites as we all get back to our home bases.

A Fox gets the targets! I thought those guns with 26 inch barrels were not good shooters!!!! Bobby

Congratulations to Chuck, the 26" shooter. I broke an ejector in my 30" barrels at a Northeast shoot a couple of years ago. Reluctantly, I shot my 26" barrels , came in second in the 12 gauge preliminary with a 45 and broke a tie with a 21 straight at the back end. Now I am in love with those barrels.

Many thanks for the loan of the 26" Fox at the Vintage Cup.
Not so much barrel length, but more important that the gun fit pretty well.
Will bring my own 20 to the next event!
