Our first-second-third place trophies have now arrived and are pictured below. In addition, merchandise for the random shooter draw has been donated by RST/Classic Shotshells Ltd and by CSMC/Galazan. Hausmann's Hidden Hollow has also donated three free entries for its Preliminary shooting at the 2013 Great NE Side x Side Championship to be held next June. The latter are salable/transferrable if a winner is unable to participate in that event.

A reminder for those who will be at the Vintage Cup and wish to shoot our 2012 Ansley H Fox Championship..... preregistration for the American Classic ends on September 12 because the Vintager's offices will be closed to prepare for the Vintage Cup. Preregistration for this or any event will save you the daily entry fee.

Those will display beautifully. Permanent trophies are neat also for the history they preserve. Can someone share a list of former Fox Champions so I can begin keeping a personal record?

Thanks gents for your feedback on the trophies. Incidentally they do have a bluish tint; color in the pics isn't because of the Russian sage in the background. Former Champions are as follows:

2008 Frank Srebro of PA
2009 Frank Srebro
2010 Frank Srebro
2011 Jim Kline of NY
2012 ?????????

Who is this 'Srebro" chap? Wasn't he an ace live bird shooter from the DUBOIS (Do-Bwah) vicinity??

Allow me to sprinkle the pan with some FFFF: 2012 ????????????........... Adolph R. Roll
On the whole....I'd rather be in Philadelphia....

Thanks for the list! That will be easy to remember. :)

I tried some flyers in the ring....fun, but a bit too pricy for me. OTOH, a buddy and I dumped 276 of those flyers over a cut pea field in one day. That outing was well worth it!

yeah, they're fun in a field or barnyard but there's nothing like boxbirds in the ring for excitement for me. Gotta say I've never used a Fox though, yet.

Vintagers in a few weeks!!!....cant believe it's here already. Hope to see alot of you boys there. I rekon I better get registered. Always enjoyed Pintail Point but it will be nice to have a new venue with new restaurants. etc.

Our little pigeon club shoots about once every month or two, with a Columbaire shoot once or twice a year. The purse money is not serious nor is it mandatory. Many of our members shoot side by sides. No repeating shotguns allowed unless it is a dedicated pump gun race. My gun of choice is a Parker PHE vent rib Trap with 30" barrels choked too tight for my ability. Our box bird shoots are one day, catered lunch, fresh Barnaby traps, all electric. Columbaire shoots are two days.
