DGJ C grade article

Post by MARSHFELLOW »

I finally made the time to look at the latest issue of the DGJ that has been laying on my desk for days virtually unopened. Craig, I thouroughly enjoyed the article and pics. GREAT examples!!! I especially appreciate the time that you take making those tables....really interesting info!

When was the change from the "duckbill" type forend to the later style???

Thanks Tom, I find writing about one of my favorite topics fun, but very challenging for me (I hated English in school). My goal for the articles was to raise the awareness of Fox guns, the AHFCA and present statistics derived from the factory records. Part of the enjoyment I get out of the hobby is sharing knowledge and uncovering new information. Since acquisition of a new gun comes at infrequent intervals, writing about them fills a void for me. I appreciate your compliments.
I am not sure when the change was made in the forend style but I believe it was with the engraving change in 1913.
