First one is being engraved as we speak. Started life as a Sterlingworth ejector 12 gauge with 28" barrels choked full/mod. Current weight 6 lb 12 oz.
Second one is a little 20 gauge Sterlingworth Extractor gun with 26" barrels also choked full/mod. This one is waiting for stocking at Custom Stocks & Steel. Its one of the two guns Dan is preparing for his samples to get into the Custom Gunmakers Guild. It will be stocked in English Walnut and have a Skeleton buttplate and round knob. Both guns were stocked to my measurements. Both were my designs and then that design was tweaked/adjusted by Dan and together we came up with the finished metal work design/shaping. Dan is indeed a jewel and no one works on my Foxes except Dan.
There will be a third one in the mix. That one will be a 16 gauge with long long barrels. Dan will do that one as well.
Is the trigger guard on the 20 rolled over on just the right side ? Or am I missing something? In any case, exceptional workmanship. Thanks for posting. Fred

Rolled over on the right side only. Just something different often seen on custom guns. Here's a Italian gun (Bertuzzi Venere) that has a similar feature:
What a beautiful job of metalwork on these two guns! I really like the point on the fore-end iron combined with the rebated points on the rear of the receiver's underside.
Who is going to do the engraving? Can't wait to see it.

Jack Jones located in Forest Va. Jack was one of the master engravers working for Ithaca Classic Doubles when they were being built in New York. Jack was trained by Ken Hurst and they worked together in Ken's engraving shop located around Lynchburg Va in the 1980's. Jack is engraving the first gun as we speak.
PS. The metal work design on the 20 gauge was something I dreamed up and put on paper one day. I wanted something totally different then the 12 gauge and far different then I had seen on any other custom Fox. Sat down with Dan and we worked on a few details and he said it would be an amazing little gun (although a real pain in the butt to stock). Only a moderate amount of engraving on the 20 gauge as it doesn't need much. Lots and lots of engraving on the first 12 gauge, which is about 60% done as I'm writing this.
