Adding a second set of barrels

Post by nca225 »

I'm interested in a set of barrels on an online auction site and I was wondering how much manipulation this set would need to fit on my Philly Sterlingworth. My serial number is 359XXX (approx. 1923-24) and the extra set is serial numbered 353XXX (approx. 1916) Both my current barrels and the new set on the auction site are stamped the same. Any input on what to expect would be appreciated. Thanks.

Most of the time the barrels will need fitting by a qualified gunsmith.Either too much headspace or barrels will require metal to be removed to fit correctly. Bobby
