Has anybody here ever seen or had a hang tag from a Baltimore Fox, Philadelphia Arms Co. gun, or a Baltimore Arms Co. gun? I have several different Philadelphia Fox/Savage Fox tags, but am beginning to question the existance of earlier versions. ANY comment on this would be of help to me. Ed Farrand

There was something in the neighborhood of 200000 Phily and Utica Fox guns to probably less then a thousand Fox Gun Co., Balto., MD., U.S.A. guns and maybe 2000 Philadelphia Arms Co. Fox guns, so the likelyhood of a surviving hang tag is slim. I've seen at least two different Phily Arms Co. catalogues and one of their letterheads. I've never seen any Fox Gun Co., Balto., MD., U.S.A. catalogues, letterheads or even a magazine ad.

As for Baltimore Arms Co. I know of a handful of different catalogues and I have one of their envelopes (addressed to an Ida Fox in Kansas City?!?). I've seen hang tags for Frank Hollenbeck's Syracuse Arms Co guns and his Hollenbeck gun Co. guns, so I'd bet those 6000 or so Baltimore Arms Co. guns left the factory at Stockholm & Leadenhall with hang tags.
