Ed1 and case colors

Post by Dick Jones »

I recently posted a couple of guns on Gunbroker and recieved a question that I didn't quite know how to answer.

I am selling a 16 gauge Sterlingworth that has torched colors. I didn't want to say in the ad that colors were torched so I said that the colors were redone but were improperly done. This being a way to make sure that any buyer would not buy the gun with out considering the colors but without being too derogatory about a gun I was selling.

I recieved an email from Ed1 saying "when you say case colors were not done properly, what exactly do you mean?
ed1"

I am taking suggestions on how to answer the question.

Thanks for your input.

Ed1 dosen't deserve a reply, however you may wish to do so in which case be brutally honest with him pointing out that unfortunately someone like him go his hands on the gun. David

"No reply" would also be my choice. I understand he is a bit uppity when engaged in conversation. Maybe "defensive" would be a better word, but I like "uppity" better.

I don't know ed1.Sounds as if he has a different issue. You did say the CC was improperly done. You should have to explain that statement.I saw your auction pictures. If you wanted to highlight the case color job you could of posted a close up of the reciever. They do say a picture is worth a thousand words. JMHO
