Philadelphia Arms Co.

Post by wjweaver »

Are the words Philadelphia Arms Co found anywhere on the guns they produced? Number 327 merely says "Fox". This is the first one I've seen...wjw

It should be roll stamped something like "Philadelphia Arms Co., Makers, Phila., PA." on the rib. Very similar to the rib markings on a Parker Bros. double. The very earliest Philadelphia Arms Co. guns were marked A.H. FOX on the sides of the frames, but most are just marked FOX.
