100 years ago today - Merry Christmas!

Post by Silvers »

So, it seems every day this week the mail brought bargain catalogs from the big name sporting goods outlets..... building the bottom line for Christmas sales and the year-end bean counters.

What might sportsmen have gotten in the mail 100 years ago? Here's the December 24, 1910 issue of the American Field along with its Christmas message.

Members, I'll post more pics from the pages in the Members Forum.... in many respects, the good old days!

Merry Christmas to all. Silvers

2X2, agreed! I didn't want to get off on a tangent when I posted, but since you brought it up, I'm sad to see the very recent PC movement to a "Happy Holidays" theme. What happened to respect and tolerance?

No matter what our faith, we all have appropriate worship day(s) - and I'm not for diluting them with PC, generic terminology. For me, it is and always will be MERRY CHRISTMAS!
