Long Legged Ladies

Post by mc15426378 »

Thought I'd share some pics of two of my "ladies". Both are 32" extractor guns. The SW has either light 2 or heavy 3 weight barrels while the A (1913 vintage) has #1 (66 oz wt) stamped barrels with factory 3" chambers. SW is choked F/XF-.728 bores & the A is choked IM/F-.724 bores. The A also has the reinforced fore-end lug.

The SW has nice wood (for a SW) but the A's wood is really nice (card has "select nice stock").

Both guns had been to the "beauty shop" before I purchased them.

Mike

And the Beauty Shops did a nice job on both of the long legged gals. That A sure has some nice wood. I like those Peters Blues too! My favorite shell when I was a kid; I used to bicycle or hitchike two towns up the line to buy them. I still can't pass a decent box of vintage Peters papers on a gun show table. Thanks Mike for posting the pics. Frank

Nice guns Mike.
It is really nice to see members take the time to show their guns at times other than when they are for sale.

This in MY Long Legged Ladie! Luci is 17 months old and just took two legs of her Junior Hunter this past weekend!
She is a Tri Color Brittney, she scored 33 out of 40 on her first try and on Sunday she scored 38 out of 40! Looks like this is going to be a fun year!

Nice pics fellas. I like nice guns but I like good dogs just a shade more. In any case, it's a shame to have one without the other.

Nice guns. Every time I see the title to this thread I think of the toast from "Out of Africa": ...rose-lipped maidens...lightfoot lads.
