At 7.5 lbs she's no lightweight, though balanced nicely with 30" #3 Krupp barrels.
It's easy to imagine she might have digested some of these "heavies" in her youth....
Just stumbled onto this picture Mike. What a beauty for a ... ah, er, uh ... whaddaya call a 100-year-old gun? A "centurian"? Didn't the Roman armies have a bunch of those?
Mike, More pictures please! Give us a look at the whole gun,I suspect a nice stick of wood she's wearing. Please give some more details, is she original or restored? Do you have a letter on her?
Come-on you've got me worked-up now close the deal.
Pretty, isn't it? I'm the new owner...actually just bought it from DVK who is the fella who commisioned the work from a local (western NY) guy. The only thing still original is the chokes and I'm about to take care of that! It's currently goose full/turkey full and I'll open it up a bit to give me a better chance at some SD pheasants this fall.
The gun was expertly and tastefully converted from pistol to straightgrip and the dimensions suit me fine for a live game gun. It's not a Fox for a purist, but it's so well done I have a couple of buddies already arguing over who gets it next.
