Fox vs Lefever 2021 Challenge
I'll let someone else fill in the scores although I will freely admit Lefever shot lights out and won. A few pics taken during the event. These are large files so I'll have to submit in stages.

Watchers who were having a good good time. PS. The two holding their chin were Lefever team members. As you can see they were paying very close attention.

Team Lefever won bragging rights 97-79. It was a good time shooting against and roasting the chestnuts of our Team Fox brothers. BTW, the two Lefever shooters with hands on chins were counting misses while seated on the “Group W” bench made popular by Arlo Guthrie.

Let me tell ya, the young man can SHOOT! On at least 3 of the 2-shot singles, he missed on the first shot then came on to crush them with his second barrel! He really knows how to handle a gun! Good job, Pop!! KevinFoxnut wrote:Great pics! Great to see pic of Stan and Shane....bringing the young guys in!

Re: Fox vs Lefever 2021 Challenge
We changed the qualification procedures this year for the challenge event and it accomplished just what we wanted. How great is it that a promising youth shooter made the team and held up his end by some great shooting. Shane did an outstanding job for the Fox team as did his Dad. I know if I was in the Hoover clan that pic of both of them would be my screen saver.
It would be great to get at least one youth shooter on each team. I know of some talented Ithaca youths but I'm drawing a blank for Lefever and Parker.

Owning a Fox is not a spectator sport.

I for one really enjoyed being a member of the Fox Team. I believe Shane and Mike shot CE's, Stan a 12ga B, Daryl a 30 inch Sterly 20ga and I shot my pawn shop DE 12ga. I would encourage all the Fox shooters to participate next year, you will not regret it.

Re: Fox vs Lefever 2021 Challenge
I had a family commitment and couldn't stay for the Fox - Lefever Championship on Saturday but from the pics and comments it seems our team did well against a formidable Lefever team with significant shooting talent. Congrats to all Fox team members and with special kudos to Shane and Stan his dad.
Now, with all that said I've been privy to a flurry of behind the scenes talk since then, wondering why more Fox members didn't throw their shooting cards into the hat for the Fox team draw, or maybe didn't even shoot the course trying to qualify. In line with that we've read posts here from member gents who said they were at the event and who commented about their gun shopping, etc. I did a quick mental tally and came up with names of about 20 Fox members I know, saw and talked with while at the Northeast SxS. There were others there I'm sure I've never met and I didn't know as AHFCA members.
While it may not be my place to ask for a survey, I don't think Daryl and Steve would mind if I did that. Hence I'm asking for replies here with thoughts on how this annual Fox - Lefever Challenge event can be made attractive to more of our members who live close enough to be at the annual Northeast SxS event at Hausmann's.

Most of the youth shooters for Parker are from below the Mason-Dixon Line and there are plenty of them!DarylC wrote:
