The top gun is an L.C.Smith Long Range field, 32" bels,Auto Ejectors,3" chambers(factory)F/F. The lower gun is an Ithica NID 20 Ga. 28" bels, extractors. Both are originals and unrestored.

The Ithaca appears to be one of the later NID's without the cocking indicators. I like that style the best. I own a 16 NID built in 35 that is very similar to yours.

Spelling!! Spelling!! Two a's. One I.

The late NID Field Grades do look "right" and usually have very nice stocks.

Very nice. Much easier to see the detail when you enlarge the pic. Nice wood on the NID.

What is the purpose for the wooden device, with the two upright dowels, under the guns? It's puzzling. It looks to have the dowels spaced about right for inserting into 12 ga. muzzles, but the dowels are not centered on the base. ????????????

The display belongs to a good friend. I sometimes use it for pictures. I don't know the answer? Brian.
