Took Callie and Dixie out to shoot birds over them for the first time! Travis worked Dixie and I was honored to shoot her first bird!! For those that don't know, Dixie was supposed to be our breeder bitch for Fox Hollow Kennels, but she is deaf so we can't breed her. Travis and Christy took her instead. I worked Callie, she found, pointed and held the point, even moved her point when the bird moved. I flushed it and she stayed for the shot. Bird went down and she ran right into the brush and brought it out to hand!! She’s going to be a fine Setter!! BTW, the Fox 16g was the arm of choice this day.

Both are 12 to 14 months old. Dixie is from Royal Sterling Setters, Callie is from Ransom’s Ranch.
