It is time to rewrite the chapter on the A FOX GETS THE GAME pocket catalogs. McIntosh & Headricks stated they were used from 1918 to 1924, with the first year, 1918, having the net prices printed in the catalog and from 1919 on having inserted price lists.
The large brown A FOX GETS THE GAME catalogs may have been used from 1915 to 1917 as they say, but in fact all of them have the 1915 prices in them -- Sterlingworth $25.00, Sterlingworth Ejector $32.50, A-grade $37.50 , AE-Grade $45.00, B-grade $52.50, BE-Grade $60.00, CE-Grade $75.00, XE-Grade $100.00, DE-Grade $150.00 and FE-Grade $350. These prices I listed above, came into effect in the 1914 large grey A FOX GETS THE GAME art catalog which introduced the Gough-style engraving, but doesn't include the Fox-Kautzky Single Selective Trigger. Some 1914 catalogs had an insert sheet on the Fox-Kautzky Single Selective Trigger. The large brown A FOX GETS THE GAME catalogs include several pages on the Fox-Kautzky Single Selective Trigger. All this as back ground to the fact that I recently scored A FOX GETS THE GAME pocket catalog with the 1914-15 net prices and six pages of information on the Fox-Kautzky Single Selective Trigger which I am dating as a 1915.
