All;
I acquired this 1923 catalog along with the original envelope and price list. I had a question that I am sure one of the guru's in the club would be able to answer. The price list includes a mention of the HE but the catalog does not show the gun pictured? The price list is blue and says "Important Change of Prices Effective January 1st 1923. The catalog touts the premier of the SBT but as mentioned above does not list speak of or mention the HE? Any assistance would be appreciated. I would attach pictures but the file size will not allow, I apologize.
thanks
Mike

Re: 1923 Catalog?
It appears the A.H. Fox Gun Co. added their new HE-Grade Super-Fox to the price list, but continued to use up the older 40-page catalogs. Also, there were two different January 1st, 1923, price lists. One priced the HE-Grade at $125 which matches the price shown on the first Super-Fox brochure. The other prices the HE-Grade at $100, as does the January 1st, 1924, price list. Seems the Godshalks had greater hopes for the Super-Fox then the market would support. By 1925 it was down to $85. I don't have a 1926 price list, but for 1927 and 8 it was down to $79.60 and for 1929 the Super-Fox was down to $66.50.

Researcher;
Thanks so much for the clarification. As usual, you are a wealth of knowledge. The price list that I have shows the HE at $125.00 but is crossed out in pencil and has $100.00 written in. I believe that this is from the factory as it does not match any other writing on the catalog. The actual catalog has notations of price by each model, but I believe that they are made by the gentleman that ordered the catalog. These notations don't match the writing on the price sheet.
Respectfully,
Mike

Re: 1923 Catalog?
Mike: 1926 "Change of Prices" with unusual date March 1, list HE both gauges @ $79.60.
There are also 2 1925 price lists, both dated January 1. HE @ $85.00, the only difference
is that one has 12 gauge only, the other has both gauges.
