I was blown out of the water late.

I was onto it early and have been watching it for days. Waited last night before bidding, and didn't even bother when it started going up. The last signature catalog like this on eBay sold for a similar price. It's a nice one for sure, and with the letter.

Thanks Jason.

Those early vest pocket catalogs are hard to find. I think there are two different ones. Researcher/Dave N. will know.

I believe this to be the second catalogue that shows A, B, C and D grades and discusses the F grade (1906-07).

I believe it is actually the third catalog. The earliest catalog I know of shows the A-, B-, and C-grades and discusses the D- and F-grades.

The second catalog is the same but each grade includes the line "Automatic Ejector, $15.00 List Extra."

These two catalogs both have the Wayne & Bristol Streets address and show the "banner style" engraving on the C-Grade.

The catalog that just sold also pictures the D-/DE-Grade, shows the C-/CE-Grade with the oval with birds on the side panels of the receiver and has the North 18th Street and Windrim Avenue address. The fourth Finest Gun in the World Catalog with the greenish cover and gold lettering is a "pocket" version of the "Signature" Campfire catalog (1907).

Then there are at least two Finest Gun in the World catalogs with black on white covers

that are probably "pocket" versions of later "Campfire" catalogs.

Dave,

Would it be possible to add this early catalog info to the Fox Catalog Directory on the homepage?

That would require work by our computer gurus Craig or Mike.

Here is the cover of the earliest catalog --

and here is the cover of the one that is a "pocket" version of the "Signature Campfire" catalog --
