Fox Custom 20 gauge engraving

Bob Strosin outdid himself. I asked for a bit of his proprietary scroll work on my custom Fox 20 gauge and I wanted a picture of a Fox with a Grouse in his mouth on the bottom. To say it turned out well is an understatement. Well balanced with enough open space to set everything off nicely.

Gun started out life as a Savage 20 gauge Fox Sterly with 26" barrels. Wanted a light grouse/woodcock gun I could carry up the Virginia mountains chasing the King. Metalwork and stocking by Dan Rossiter (of course). More to follow when its all together. Dan stocked it in Circassian walnut for me (middle blank in last photo).

Very nice. I like how the engraving is like real Fox engraving, but is also unique and original.

Great looking engraving. I like everything about it.

I'm heading up to see Dan in about 2 weeks to get my final stock fitting on the project I have going. I can't wait to see it after the metalwork starts.
