First split season goes out today on Public land. Was out there with a buddy and my little upgraded to early AE 20 gauge. Work by Dan Rossiter and others. I have never shot a gun that shoots better for me then this gun.
PS. And without Sophie my Llew, the above wouldn't be possible.

Stan, since it was being tricked out for Grouse/Woodcock, I had Mike Orlen open it up to .004 and .014. Even with those chokes some of those first shots out of the right barrel can be pretty ugly in thick cover as I often end up shooting birds that are only 10 yards away. Fortunately they are often not centered and end up having broken wings. Sophie has no problem with finding down birds thank goodness.Stan Hillis wrote:Great pics, Tom. How is that gun choked?

I love the picture of Sophie, Tom. Beautiful dog. How old is she now? Were you hunting in your home state of Virigina? How has the weather been?
Jim
PS - Oh, I see from your other post she is 5 and you were hunting in VA.

Goodbye Mandy, once in a life time hunting dog. I miss you every day.
