Stegmeister scores big in South Dakota
Here is Jeff's first trip to South Dakota using his 1918 20ga. Sterlingworth which was celebrating it's 100th birthday. He limited out in the last field with two very tough shots on these tough birds. Weather has been perfect and so far the trip, which was Jeff's first, has been first class.

Jeff S. shot his Pah-ker 16 today and did well with it. Me, on the other hand pulled out the 16 Sterly Deluxe as Jeff and I decided today was a 16ga. kind of day. We all shot well, the dogs were solid performers so we limited out in 3 hours today.

Re: Stegmeister scores big in South Dakota
Yesterday was a good day for my 30", 20 Sterly. She's choked .032/.036. A true double on a pair of roosters trying to exit the corner of standing corn made for a crossing shot of about 35yds. Both hit the dirt within 3 ft. of each other and Fox, my 9+ year old lab, was on them instantly. She tried to pick them both up at once but that did'nt work so she had to return to the scene of the crime to pick up #2. I think I've found the perfect pheasant gun for out here.

Thanks Craig. Fortunately I had an eye witness to the event. Funny thing is that is my second double out here and both of them were with a Fox. The other one was with the 16 Sterly deluxe. I guess it's true that "a Fox gets the game".
I hope everything is well with you as we REALLY miss you out here this year. (Well to be honest, it's Lucy we long for here).
