Powder and primers supplies scarce??

Post by fox-admin »

A couple of months ago I was able to buy 5000 Cheddite primers and 4lbs. of Clay Dot. Now nothing locally or the big internet suppliers. Anyone else feeling the same. This lack of supplies seems worse than a year ago?? The powder suppliers claim they are running flat out but I never see anything available. What are you experiencing? I would buy just about any shotgun powder at this point but I haven't seen any Clays, Unique, or Red Dot for sale since 2019.

Craig powder is out there. You need to keep checking the sites several times a day. I was Able to buy 5# of Clays and a 4 pounder of 700X a few weeks ago. Ballistic products just had Cheddites this past week. Most guys I shoot with we’re able to get 5000 which is the limit. PM me if you need anything and I can also give you some tips where to look etc. I’ve been buying stuff so others I shoot with can continue to shoot. It’s no fun shooting alone. Lol. I’m pretty good myself for a year or two but will continue to stay ahead of the game.

I can tell you there has been no Unique or Universal in a long time. Lots of 20/28 has been out there. It’s my favorite powder for those cartridges. Plus can be used in the 16 gauge. Red Dot shows up from time to time. I know where there is a 8# for sale if he didn’t already sell it.

Brian thanks for the tip I did buy 5000 cheddites from BP last week so I'm good on primers. I did get a 4 pounder of Clay Dot from BP a few weeks back and 8 pounds of Red Dot off GB at near retail with reasonable shipping charges. What I would like is a few pounds of Clays and 4 pounds of Unique. That would take care of my needs for at least a year.
