Non-Selective Single Trigger

Post by Researcher »

A question for you mechanically minded folks that go inside these guns. Was the Fox-Kautzky Non-Selective Single Trigger that Savage introduced on the June 21, 1932, Retail and Wholesale - Retail Price Lists along with the SP-/SPE-Grade guns the same non-selective single trigger that their J. Stevens Arms Co. introduced in their June 21, 1932, price lists on the various J. Stevens and Springfield doubles? The non-selective single trigger only remained in Savage's Fox offerings through the March 1, 1934, price lists. The non-selective single trigger remained an offering of the J. Stevens and Springfield lines until WW-II. FWIW here is a cut of the Springfield NSST from a folder circa 1937 --
