Re: Appraisal
Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting Tim, the poster who started this thread, and looking at his 24" barreled 20 gauge Sterlingworth with ejectors and discussed in detail by all the above. I took some pictures too as seen below. The gun is pretty much as described: it does have 24 inch barre...

Re: Appraisal
A Sterlingworth with a single trigger, a factory beavertail forearm and 24” barrels is certainly a rare bird. When appraising guns, condition is paramount. Who knows? This little gem could be worth $2,500- 3,000? Let’s see what some of the guys that watch the market have to say. Jeff Jolly the gun ...

Re: Appraisal
Tmister 65, Thanks for posting a picture of Roe Clark's letter and indeed it was shipped with 24" barrels choked cylinder and modified with ejectors. That's important info. As stated above it is very likely the beavertail and Miller Single Trigger were added later on. And it looks like it is a ...

Re: Appraisal
Well I’ve had a gunsmith look at this. He assured me that the barrel was not cut. The cylinders are to the spec it was purchased cylinder and modified. The paperwork I received from the arms historian stated it was a custom made gun. Did Roe Clark mention the barrel length in his letter? That would...

Re: Another Super Fox Question ?
Hi Harry,
As Jeff said, not sure about 3 inch chambers on the HE20. Beavertail fore end doesn't sound like factory.
Yes, by all means, get a copy of the factory card for that gun.
Keep us posted.

Re: 1915 Panama Pacific Expo guns?
If you would like to see much better pictures and some other very interesting tidbits on those two Fox SPECIALS pictured above, see two of Tom Kidd's Double Gun Journal articles on them: For the 12 Gauge SPECIAL, Ser. No. 22323 see "For Exposition" in Volume 11, Issue 2 - Summer of 2000 ed...

I had a question about the Baby Whoop and the Big Whoop but you very nicely explained it in your thread specific to those. Thanks Daryl.

Re: Fox Booth at Hausmann’s
Good comments and everyone is correct. I spoke with Ernie Tuesday morning. The AHFCA will be renting an additional table (as we did last year) so that members can sell guns. Ernie was happy last year and he sounded happy again this year. See you all there. Jeff - can non Fox items be sold on that t...

Re: Fox Booth at Hausmann’s
Thanks for posting that, Jeff. And a better pair cannot be found to attend to activities at the Fox booth.
Question: the additional table for members to sell their guns will be for Fox guns only? Or, other, non Fox guns? Just curious.
Thanks, and eagerly looking forward to next week.

Re: An XE 16 Ga. Collaboration by Jim Demunck & Walter Koulach
I sent a note to Jim DeMunck telling him about this XE12 that he helped upgrade from a Sterlingworth to a very nicely done XE. He sent me a note back and had this to say about the gun: "I remember that one. I will look through my patterns and see if I have that one in there. I may have just use...
