Antique Arms Show 2023

Hi All, I've been inactive ever since relocating to Las Vegas. I was wondering if the AHFCA will have a display at the Antique Arms Show in Las Vegas January 2023. I plan to set up a table and will have several fine Fox SxSs to look at the possibly make a deal to sell. I will have a C Grade 16 gauge...

Re: custom fox 16ga in progress

In Dan's defense; he was NOT the holdup. It was the first two engravers: Then, Robert Strosin, Engraver; got ahold of the gun, finished it, and sent it back to Dan in ten days! I am just too easy going, and didn't scream at Ken Hurst. If it hadn't been for a helluva nice guy, it may still be sittin...

Very nice Dan. I can't wait to see my 16-ga C Grade next month, after you finish touching it up a bit. Look forward to shooting on the sporting clay stands in the desert foothills just north of Vegas.

Re: Early B Grade, Need Advice

He's being greedy so far as I can tell. Condition sounds so-so and barrels/chokes--who knows? Number 18A was offered with cut-barrels and loose as can be action for $1500 and didn't sell, that I remember.

Re: trapshooting

any thin leather gloves will do the trick, Lowes should have some; they will help you to keep shooting during the summer months and not burn those tender parts

Re: OT----9/11 Where were you???

Toolman, you were passing Manhattan in the air as the attacks occurred, that must make you stop and think. I remember were I was, in training in Virginia the morning of 9/11/01. By the afternoon of Sept 12, I was in northeast NJ, and then Ground Zero for the next three weeks. Very emotional driving ...

Re: My Early B Grade Fox

Yes, very nice, looks to be in great shape. Those early guns are nice. Yes, more pictures, pls - hopefully the wood has not been cut. I have 2663 B, with uncut 30" barrels at F/IM, but unfortunately the wood was cut quite a bit sometime in the past.

Re: proper metal finish

Yes, what Marshfellow said. Dont think I've seen blued triggers on an original Fox. Trigger guards were 'charcoaled blue', or at least highly polished bluing; The terminology can get mixed up somewhat, what with abbreviated emails, etc.

Pictures would be most appreciated. I missed a 32" 16 ga Sterlingworth extractor awhile back, wish I could have picked it up.

Re: 20 gauge Sterlingworth with straight stock

I agree with VATurkey, if the gun Letters as a straight stock, and other measurements, and is in good condition as it appears, it is worth consideration at $2500. More quality pictures would help to tell the story
