Re: Honey & Smoke

Hope no one minds, but I saw these and immediately thought of this thread!

Re: More Duck Call Stuff

This was in the mid-to-late 90's. Mark is a class act and always had top-notch dogs running in the Grand. I am down working around Slidell and need to take out that direction on one of the weekends that I am stuck in a hotel and try to look some of that group up. Thanks for reminding me of good time...

Dave,

It was number 6800 to be exact!

He lived about 20 miles from where I grew up and live now.

Re: More Duck Call Stuff

Kent thanks for the history lessons on the Louisiana calls. I got my first taste of a Chien Caille (Pronounced Shane Ki) speck call calling in a contest against Mark Hundley a Pro Class Lab Trainer from Gueydan at the National Hunting Retriever convention in St. Louis years ago. I immediately called...

Re: Remington repeater

You’ll have to remove the stock on order to see the grade stamps.

Typically the grades under 4 are not designated on the underside of the barrel.

Re: Remington repeater

I did also notice all even length barrels in the flyers/catalogs. Weatherby, While you have it broken down try measuring from the chamber entrance to the end of the barrel and see if you not a little closer to an even number. I'm glad to see the action release button is still the original flat soli...

Re: Ok to ask about older shotgun shells ?

Weatherby, You may have no interest at all in moving those shells, but Ward's travels across the country picking up items to and from major gun shows. Beware they will expect around 20%, I believe, on items in this price range as a seller's commission or fee. I have no affiliation with them but have...

Re: "This is Sxxt"

Very similar experience with the 12 DE and CEO 10 I placed back into circulation a few years ago at an On-Line House.

The 10 had been cut but had beautiful patterns.

The RSA President wound up with it to shoot in Clays events.

I believe he likes it!

Re: AH Fox Duck Call??

Nice collection Craig. More Sharpie's than your local Wal Mart! Glad to see you've been able to collect a few. If it wouldn't interfere with your duck season the Reelfoot Call Collectors and Makers event is a small but fun time to be around the Lake. Blue Bank was just named the #1 Fishing Lodge in ...

I'm afraid I may have been mistaken in my original assumption. I felt that the shape seemed awful familiar! Faulks model for A.H. I wonder if it is one of the Perry Hooker Limited Edition Signature Series Nash sold in his Buckingham, Ensley & Carrigan store in Memphis? Yowsah!! Kevin I'm afraid not Kevin, my son and I recently had the privilege to, as the Owner would say "Handle" one of Mr. Hooker finest creatio...

Re: AH Fox Duck Call??

Being a novice call collector I picked up on it fairly quickly after it was posted. My take is it is legit, however, a lower quality almost "Novelty" type manufacture. Certainly not of any appeal to Call Collectors, now of course at over $250 we have answered the appeal to Fox Collectors' ...
