I ordered one and sent the check this weekend. Figured "What the heck, why not"
I probably have that much $ in loose change in my truck console.
Glad I did because if its' a one run and done, I'd be pining for one later.

Re: If You Got It Use It
I pick up LBH's cover art whenever I can. Here is an October 1937 cover of Field and Stream. If you look below the forend, you can see his signature. Aside from the art itself, the magazines can contain a wealth of information and old ads etc.. They also make great props for pictures. It being Woodc...

Re: BARRELS NOT GUARANTEED-SEE TAG
Originally when they first came out with the HE, the advertising of the day said they were guaranteed to hold a certain percentage pattern at a certain distance. I have that information somewhere but from the top of my head I think it was something like 85% etc.... It became too difficult during pro...

Re: What's on your Fox shopping list???
Stan, I revised my post to say that these cases, at least mine, will NOT accommodate 36" barrels. They are about an inch too short. I measured both one barrel and two barrel cases. They may be making a 36" case now, but I don't know that, or who sells them. They are wide enough in the bar...

Re: What's on your Fox shopping list???
I finally found a two-barrel case for my Gournet engraved Fox. That was on the top of my shopping list. There are plenty of options if you don't care about the cost, but I wanted an all-leather case and to keep it on the low/reasonable cost side and was willing to make a few compromises. The one I g...

H is stamped on the frame and bottom of barrels too. 0 weight barrels also a tip off as is the unique style of engraving on the sides.

Re: 1933 Fox
A lot of guns in the transition years were shipped during the Savage era but were made from Philadelphia parts. There's a good chance that is what you have there but without seeing the gun you never know. Also, as far as where he got the date from, the date list that is available on the internet is ...

Re: 8 gauge Lindner Daly
I was thinking about the one that Chuck Bishop holds. I’m in the loop on that one somehow but haven’t attended it to date.

Re: 8 gauge Lindner Daly
Nice find there Roger, Welcome to the 8 gauge CLUB, I enjoy loading and shooting the big guns and we always have a blast playing with them. I’m not recalling exactly where you are in SE PA, but I would consider myself to live in SE PA. I’m midway between Lancaster and Reading. I could possibly give...

Re: 8 gauge Lindner Daly
Thanks Jeff, but I'm sold on "Mrs. Jones" I just have to get some shells loaded. We should try to see if it would be possible to set up a re-loaders' table for a hands on training session at Hauseman's or Mike's this summer where people could bring their own supplies and learn to load up f...

8 gauge Lindner Daly
Why let Steggy (Jeff) have all the fun at Hauseman's this June! Back in November I dropped a huge clue but nobody picked up on it. I said I was "Jone's-ing" for some 8 gauge ammo in Steggy's thread about his gun "Sally", so here is my introduction to "Mrs. Jones". She's...
