Any Fox shooters in Southwest PA
I moved down to south west PA for work, wondering if there are any local fox shooters? Would also appreciate any tips on a gun club with a good skeet range and a good wobble trap range. Sporting clays not so important.

Adding a second set of barrels
I'm interested in a set of barrels on an online auction site and I was wondering how much manipulation this set would need to fit on my Philly Sterlingworth. My serial number is 359XXX (approx. 1923-24) and the extra set is serial numbered 353XXX (approx. 1916) Both my current barrels and the new se...

Re: Little Beavertail continues to collect the game
Nicely done. I'm envious now that the season ended here in Maine on the 1st with no snow on the ground and still good hunting conditions. Was a hell of a year though!

Fruits of the first week of the season
Despite the rain for the first few days but before the high temps, there was a nice window of cool weather and that combined with a little prime grouse cover and my Sterly 16 we get our first bird of the season. Best time of the year... http://i1135.photobucket.com/albums/m629/nca225/IMG_0396.jpg

Re: Utica Sterly...locks up tight but not tight on its face
Much thanks to those who responded. Its great that someone who is just getting into Foxes can find such useful info on a friendly board. Each time I visit and receive advice or feedback, I am more sure that I want to become a full AHFCA member and probably will do so this week when some accounts cle...

And you mean that as just as a matter of course and not for the issue I described, which isn't really an issue at all...mike campbell wrote:"

Utica Sterly...locks up tight but not tight on its face
I'm looking at another Utica Savage Sterlingworth, that does not look to be used much. It locks up tight, the bores are clean and bright and unmolested. What draws my concern is that I can see light between the flats of the barrels and the flats of the receiver where the serial number is stamped. I ...

Re: Stock length on 1913 Sterlingworth
Thank you Fred and Bobby. Fred - Oregon is a tremendously beautiful place, well worth a trip. Garratt I'll second that. I was there once on a business trip with a quick stop at the Deschutes for three days. Absolutely breathtaking across the state with three distinct and beautiful climates rolling ...
