You need to alter the hook on the 30" barrels if you want to use the forearm on both sets. But, could be clearance issue with forearm/barrels between wood and barrels at the very rear of the forearm. Would need to see it to know.

YEs all the numbers match. And the dimension, 15/32 is the same so apparently the slot was lengthened as it measures almost 17/32, I can't imagine why. If you look really closely at 10x you can see where it was done. A talented TIG man could likely fix it, fill in the slot, and then file to correct ...

I am trying to decide what, if anything, to do with the condition on this early Phil Arms Fox 12GA. There is a gap between end of the barrel extension and the action slot (see pics). Model 1911 pin gun original finish
I have a rather nice Model 1911 pin gun. Most all external finish is gone from action, but was surprised to see the forearm iron blued on the inside. I expected it to be case colored. What was the original finish for action/forearm?

Recently picked this Sterlingworth up, and it has extra engraving. Five number gun so earlier, thought it was aftermarket done, but then saw a 16Ga. six number gun on Gunbroker with IDENTICAL engraving. Seller said Fox did this on occasion.
