Re: 1-02-1942 Fox Prices
Stan - I think it means that the wholesale price of a particular part or type of repair is 15% off the list price of that particular part or type of repair?

Re: off topic cigars
Here is a leg of mutton case owned by Louis, which contained DE 17090 and 2 sets of barrels, with the consignor listed as A.H.Fox on the factory card.
So was this Ansley’s gun or was he just ordering it for Louis?

Re: Dr. Robert J Robel
I doubt Doc Robel would have been shy in espousing his views on guns; he was on the NRA board of Directors. When I was working for him, Doc was keeping his guns in a big safe in his office at KSU. His office was in a small building away from the main Biology building, where he had his own research l...

Dr. Robert J Robel
Found this nice write-up of Doc Robel, my undergrad advisor and early mentor. Doc had a nice collection of English doubles and first spurred my interest in SxS guns. He authored several articles in DGJ, and his wife shot a 20ga AH Fox. https://www.audubonofkansas.org/prairie-wings.cfm?fx=MNXI1PZPCEQ...

Re: Small gauge two barrel sets
Dave - have you seen any Fox factory cards that specify both a 20 and 16 ga barrel?
If so, were the serial numbers of the receiver in the 2xx,xxx or 3xx,xxx range?

Beaver Dam Club & 1909 MS Supreme Court Ruling
I was researching the history of the Beaver Dam Club (BDC), located near Tunica MS, and found this interesting summary of a ruling by the MS Supreme Court in 1909 - see photos below. The court records indicate that BDC was first established in 1882 by 18 non-resident members, most of whom were gentl...
