Thanks Mike, Yes, the warm affect is intentional. While the "rush" is still in effect after a nice purchase the gun goes straight to the office on my plan table. Placing toilet paper over hologen spots, a tripod, slow shutter speed, macro setting and a color option on a canon G8(?). I love...

I certainly don't have the experience of Researcher or others here but my limited knowledge says any grade straight grip 32" is fairly scarce. FWIW

It is my understanding the holes are to let the condensation out during the rib brazing. Some makers filled them in others left 'em alone.

No, not holding out. It seems 16 AE were selling at the prices I mentioned just earlier this year, I must be dreaming.

Todd,

I would place value in current state between $1,750 and $2,250 retail. Wholesale $1,250 to $1,750. Hope this helps and let us know if your successful in your bid.

Per Mac's book there are less 16 ga CE Philly guns than 20 ga CE philly's. The book is not in front of me but memory says something like a little more than 200 from philly. Certainly not as rare as the 9 M grade traps but rare none the less. The Julia's 16 CE is the first I have seen that is close t...

$19K for a CE 16ga? I think that is a new price record by 30% from March earlier this year for a CE 16. Wow.

If the gun is in perfect working condition with good barrels and you can pick it up +/- $1K you could have a very nice shooter that FITS you for an additional $750. Not a bad deal.

Good Luck!

this may work to our advantage with less knowlegable dealers!!
I can't seem to find those "less knowlegable dealers", where are they?

This internet thing as turned would-be deals into retirement accounts for the inheritors.

What is the current codition of stock? If it HAS to be replaced you're looking at a project gun, +/- $1K as long as barrels and action checks out ok.

If varnish was used as standard practice then why is it an issue to use it today other than changing the gun from its original condition? I've been thinking about adding varnish (by an expert) for one of my foxes to keep what's left of the CC but have been advised in the past not to do.

Thanks,

MC
