Roger, we call those hunts "Armed walks" in Va. We do it quite often. Sometimes wonder whether there is a point to carrying a gun, but we always do. The running joke is you are never going to need more then the 2 shells in the chamber.

Was fun while it lasted. Little buggers have bugged out now.

We are shutdown in Va now for bird hunting. I'm too old to hunt grouse in the mountains and it will be nothing but ice up there for the next two weeks, plus there is no grouse in the mountains.
