Re: "Brush" gun definition?
Fox associated a “style” with the barrel lengths of its Sterlingworths: 26″ guns were Brush styles, 28″ guns were Field styles, 30″ guns were Standard styles, and 32″ guns were Trap styles. Hope that helps, I pulled it from an article I had seen.

Re: Cleaning up old pads
I use a small flat blade screw driver with Gojo for a lubricant to lift the plugs out. If they were glued in the gojo will normally soften the glue. To clean them up I use Gojo and a scotch brite pad to remove the grunge.

Re: FOX SBT Rib Repairs needed
Hey TW, yeah, I've seen how you handle a screwdriver!!!.. Actually two of the posts are short, causing the rib to dip and not remain perfectly straight. I will need to see if Jason has a couple once I get a smith lined up to do the work. I was hoping someone here has had post solder work done and co...

FOX SBT Rib Repairs needed
Seeking advice and recommendations on whom to send this SBT J grade barrel to. The soldered posts have been redone in the past but instead of the solder being fully under the post platform, it appears that the "smith" just soldered externally the post platform to the barrel. The tops of th...

Re: "Factory Sample" found??...darn neat
Hey Tom, way cool, In my mind this Mock-up now becomes a salemans' tool to show how the SST works, Kind of like the same reason that the Fox Cutaway actions were done. The mock up allows you to cock both hammers, select the R/L sequence, squeeze the triggers and watch the response. You have cocked i...

Re: A.H. Fox Checkering Seminar 101
TJW ( Marshfellow) is a most gracious host, and to see all the Fox stuff he has in his oversize man-cave, office, clubhouse, whatever? is a treat. Dave and I had a great time. Then after the checkering seminar, we proceeded to tear down a Fox or two for some internal inspections. Lots of fun and a f...
