Re: My First Fox
Can you post a program for the shoot you plan to attend? As soon as I have one in hand I'll post it. Edmonton Gun Club hasn't sent out the programs yet. Both shoots are being held there this summer. Its about a 90 minute drive to the club from my home., As promised. Program is listed on pages 41-57...

Re: My First Fox
I have a nearly unfired late 30" 4E Knick, a 1930 32" 5E Knick that still has factory varnish on the receiver, refinished wood with G&H repro Silver pad, and an original metal finish 32" Sousa Grade Knick that has a great stock refinish, original finish on the forend, and a new o...

Re: My First Fox
I arrived home late friday night from a 2 1/2 week stint on Vancouver Island to help my father recovering from a surgery and to help him with some decluttering and downsizing. Shortly after arriving home I discovered a box in the living room. I asked my wife what was in the box and she said "I ...

Re: My First Fox
Latest update: The final coat of oil has been applied to the stock & forend of the 5E Knick SBT. All mechanicals have been checked after reassembly and are working properly. Once the finish has completely dried and hardened the gun will be test fired and if all is good returned to home. I would ...

Re: Another 4E Followed Me Home
My 4e 16 gauge is the best shooting gun I own. It love it! This thread is impressive knowing how few 4e 16 NID were produced but yet there is 3 in handsome condition within our small group! Agreed! Three beauties out of what I am told is likely a production of less than 100 4E NID's in 16ga!!! It i...

Re: Another 4E Followed Me Home
Very nice. Are you getting a letter from Cody? https://centerofthewest.org/explore/firearms/firearms-records/ithaca/ I have a very late, the serial number chronology says 1941 but Walter had no info for a letter, No. 4E 16-gauge with 26-inch barrels 1 & 2. Over the years the checkering got coar...

Another 4E Followed Me Home
It was a crazy week of wheeling and dealing selling three SxS's, an SBT and an O/U all to make room and free up some $ for another 4E but it was well worth it imo. Today I brought home this 1928 Ithaca NID4E 2bbl set 16ga. What a little beauty on a frame that feels no bigger than a 20ga. Both barrel...

Re: Is this a Super Fox?
Caleb, you’ve got yourself a real nice gun. My Super has 32” barrels, and while it is chambered for 3” shells, I have only used 2 3/4” shells in it. As a fellow duck hunter, I would encourage you to purchase Kent Bismuth “Waterfowl” ammo. Number 4 shot works. In my gun, my tests have proven that th...

Re: Some More Ithaca ❤️ 16ga Flues
Nice gun, just be cautious and shoot low pressure loads out of your gun I have two different 1oz loads I will be loading for my 12ga guns. One gives me a published 5400 psi and the other 6000 psi. I'll be running them exclusively through my Flues and NID guns. The 16ga I don't have a press to load ...

Re: Some More Ithaca ❤️ 16ga Flues
These damned graded Ithacas keep finding their way to my P.O Box. I may have to talk to the post mistress about this issue. I've run out of room in my gun safe 6 guns ago at least! 1924 Grade 2 Flues, 12ga., 30" choked 2/M & 4/F with dual ivory beads. It sure needs a good cleaning and the s...
