Fox Collectors

Have seen excellent results on one Fox stock swap involving SW stocks in the same gauge. This may have been more good fortune than common but the smith also had talent.

Those 26" 12 gauge guns are fine skeet guns plus useful in uplands.

Excellent reply and most appreciated. Great to know more about the history of each of our A. H. Fox guns when possible. This one dates to 1928 by serial number.

Name at the bottom of the card may be George A. Simmons, George A. Lummons or George A. Emmons (or a similar E name). Leo may be the first name, yet thinking it is more likely George.

A competent gunsmith should be able to make a noticeable improvement in the function of your safety. Had this same issue addressed on a SxS when it was in a shop for a different minor repair. Had the 16 in hand for dog training today on liberated birds. While not the same challenge as wild birds, rarely needed the left barrel thanks to a properly fitted Fox.

A friend skilled at gun fitting installed a CSM pad on the 16 gauge shown. Mounts better now with his efforts and added LOP.

Stock shape preserved. The factory plate may be returned to the stock if needed.

Nice to see happy old dogs doing what they are born for and still getting it done.
